Educating the Industry
The New Mexico Restaurant Association offers a variety of educational and training opportunities for the foodservice and hospitality industry. Part of our vision is to be the educational resource for the industry in New Mexico. Please let us know if there is a seminar or educational opportunity you think we should offer. Our Development Director is Victoria Sanchez Martinez. Please contact her at 505-343-9848 or education@nmrestaurants.org for more information about any of our programs.
The following is a brief synopsis of the various programs currently offered.
The New Mexico Restaurant Association offers classes that meet the mandatory education requirement for anyone selling or serving alcohol in the state of New Mexico. Classes are offered in Albuquerque on a weekly basis. Private classes are available if certain criteria are met.
Food safety is a concern for all consumers. Restaurant customers are more saavy today than ever before and they expect safe, clean food every time they eat out. NMRA offers food safety training and certification for both employees and managers as part of National Restaurant Association Solutions.
