For all Albuquerque Restaurants: On April 18, the Albuquerque City Council passed a new Fire Ordinance. Among other requirements was an inspection and approval of candles used in your restaurants. The New Mexico Restaurant Association has arranged for the Fire Marshall put together an approved list of candles that will not require individual inspection.
To have your candles pre-approved you need to put one sample of the candles that you use in a cardboard box with your name and property on it and deliver it to the NMRA offices at 9201 Montgomery NE Suite 602 by May 9, 2005. We will forward these on to the Albuquerque Fire Marshall and await the results of their test.
This will save you time and money.
