how to garnish safelyAlcohol Garnishing may sound like an odd term but you’ll come to find that almost all bars do it, the question is about whether they are doing it safely. When considering how to garnish safely, make sure you treat the garnishes with as much safety concern as any piece of food.  Most alcoholic drinks that are served in your bar probably have some type of edible garnish to enhance the customers experience. These garnishes are anything from fruit to a spice or herb, and because most of them are perishable food, they need to be treated as such to ensure the safety and satisfaction of the customer. Most bartenders probably don’t know all of the rules on garnishing their drinks with clean food. For example, you cannot cut any fruit on a bar counter. You must use a washed cutting board each time. There are many other rules and tips that need to be followed in order to keep your customers both happy and healthy such as refrigeration and hand hygiene.
