Kelli Valade, the executive vice president of Chili’s claims that the most important role the HR representatives can play is the one of the expert. The HR department should know the patterns of employees and new potential hires so they can help you focus on the things that are important. This is especially important for large brands and chains where there might not be enough of a supply for the demand there is for employees.
Valade states that by the year 2020 there could be a whole new restaurant model that changes the number of employees we require or flips the whole industry upside down. Until that time comes make sure to have a good relationship with your HR representative so that you can build a strong employee base.
